A 3D animation video was created to introduce worldwide keynote speeches given by Sony's Chairman and to help illustrate his vision for a networked world. Traveling through a universe of spheres, Sony's digital content is accessed through four key gateways with graphics flying through Sony's Dream World amidst products and people communicating seamlessly.
A model of the universe was built and shot against a blue screen background on 35mm film and a snorkel lens was used to film the choreographed motion sequence. As the animation builds set to original music and the spheres trace their orbits, images of the gateway products appear including digital TV and set-top boxes, PlayStation 2, VAIO and the Sony Clie PDA.
