Sony enlisted Group X to create a product launch showcasing ordinary people doing extraordinary things with Sony products. As part of a national three-city road show for Sony's electronics dealers highlighting four key Vaio computer capabilities: Wireless, Music, Imaging and Video, Group X designed a presentation incorporating four video lifestyle vignettes portraying people using Sony's products and applications which were projected on Sony plasma screens.
Transforming the video vignettes into real life, the setting from each lifestyle video was recreated as part of the demonstration areas so that attendees could experience first hand the new products and applications showcased in the launch presentation. The video vignettes were found to be quite effective for Sony marketing and were repurposed at various Sony events in the U.S. and overseas.
