Since internet giant Google initiated a major annual Developers Conference in 2006, Group X has been on hand to produce and stage the event every year. After the first conference, the event had outgrown its location at the Googleplex and moved to the San Jose Convention Center in the heart of Silicon Valley. In 2008, one year later, the conference took over the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco and was renamed I/O.

Designed to provide developers with a two day forum of “in-depth technical sessions on how to build the next generation of web applications with Google and open technologies,” the event includes numerous engaging Keynotes, over a hundred breakout sessions,  fireside chats, and an evening of entertainment with live performers, such as New Zealand HBO stars, “Flight of the Conchords”.

Group X has scaled up to successfully meet the increasing technical, creative and management demands of the show, including posting every session to YouTube.
